El Constituyente is a peer-reviewed academic journal published annually (November) by the School of Law at Universidad Anáhuac Querétaro. Its name draws on Mexico’s constitutional history: it alludes to the Constituent Congress that drafted the 1917 Constitution in the city of Querétaro, home to our University and a symbol of the reformist drive and legal debate that inspire this publication.
The journal disseminates high-impact research and reflections in Law, Public Administration, Political Science, and International Relations. It publishes original articles, essays, case notes and jurisprudential commentaries, case studies, and book reviews in Spanish (exceptionally in English), all subjected to double-blind peer review and originality checks.
With an interdisciplinary vocation, El Constituyente fosters dialogue between Law and economics, philosophy, history, sociology, and public-policy analysis to connect theory and practice for decision-making. It is published in electronic format and is aimed at scholars, legal practitioners, public officials, students, and all those interested in public life and the contemporary legal order.
