BICENTENNIAL OF THE QUERÉTARO JUDICIARY: THE 1825 CONSTITUTION AND THE JUDICIARY AS LEGACY AND FUTURE

Abstract

The article commemorates the bicentennial of the Querétaro judiciary by highlighting the 1825 state Constitution and the creation of the Judicial Branch as cornerstones of federalism and the rule of law in Querétaro. It emphasizes that this Constitution, inspired by the 1824 Federal Constitution, established the separation of powers and recognized the judiciary as an independent and essential authority for legality and public order. Over two centuries, the Querétaro judiciary has adapted to historical and legal transformations without abandoning its core mission.
